Nijmegen, a historical city, is the oldest city with an university of the Netherlands. With 150.000 inhabitants, Nijmegen is the biggest city of eastern Netherlands. Nijmegen is a city build in a hilly landscape and is surrounded by woods and parks. The history, the atmosphere and the variation make that this city is a place of abode where it is wonderful living, eather temporary or permanently. In every season there are always a lot of things to do and to see.

In the sauna "de Thermen" you can bring body and mind into optimal shape.
You can go for a walk through the beautiful and extensive woods.
It is also possible to make a walking or biking tour through the "Hatertse Vennen" or the "Mokerheide".
Go shopping in Nijmegen, of which shoppingcentre "de Molenpoort" is fully covered. You can go to the inner part of the town, where you can see a lot of monuments, for instance: the town hall, "de Waag", the Stevenstower, "het Valkhof" and "Belvedere".
A nice trip is when you go to the river, the "Waal". On the quay of the river Waal (Waal boulevard) in Nijmegen you can watch the ships and even go for a trip with one of the boats.
In the city there are various parks which contain historical monuments. "Het Hunerpark", "Het Kronenburgerpark", "De Goffert" and park "Stadsdijk".

Met clubdraisines voor 9-14 personen verkent u de ca. 5,5 km lange, grensoverschrijdende route.

…op deze draisine is veel meer plaats - voor maximaal 14 personen - 9 zullen er eigenlijk minimaal moeten zijn, want er zijn 4 “trapperplaatsen” die wachten op draisine-actievelingen .... dan kunnen de andere 5 uitrusten en de innerlijke mens verzorgen.

Start in het Nederlandse Groesbeek met onder meer zijn interessante musea en wijnbouw en ga naar het Duitse Kranenburg en ontdek een bijzonder en mooi grensgeval.

Geniet ter hoogte van de grensovergang van het unieke uitzicht op de Duits-Nederlandse grensregio.

Aan Duitse kant is uw bestemming het romantische stadje Kranenburg. Als u weer op krachten bent gekomen voert de tocht per draisine terug naar het beginpunt.
